Adult Learn to Ride Level 1

This program follows the Passport to Excellence Horsemanship skills levels and works individually with Adult Riders fostering their individual goals.

Description:

The Adult Rider Program is for all adults, aged 18 years and older, who would love to start riding or continue riding from years past. The level includes adults across all skill and experience levels, in a supportive program that promotes education, communication, recognition and fun. The goal of the Adult Rider Program is to increase adult participation in the sport by providing education, recognition, and offering communication and camaraderie.

Arrival Time: (Plan for two hours at the stables.)  The rider arrives 30 minutes prior to the 1 hour horsemanship session and remains until 30 past the end of the riding lesson. The session is one hour long and includes riding and grooming.

Attire & Equipment: Riders must have their own riding attire.

Horse Requirements: MLM provides safe, sound and reliable, child-friendly, horses for this level. Riders are also welcome to use their own or leased horse. 

Both sessions will include a Show Off Day for riders to showcase the skills they've learned during lessons in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Adult Learn to Ride Level 2

Adult Learn to Ride - Morning Lesson Program

Description:

The Adult Mornings Learn to Ride Program is a program for adults of all riding levels to be able to enjoy time investing in their own riding goals. The class is offered during the day when the children are in school.

Arrival (Plan for two hours at the stables.)  Arrive 30 minutes before the start, of the 45 minute riding lesson, to spend quiet time grooming and preparing the horse for the lesson. Focus is on fitness and fun through horsemanship and riding while sharing a love of riding with other adults.

Attire: Riders may wear comfortable fitting jeans or fitness pants and a boot with a heel. Hair is to be tied back, no hoodies. Riders are encouraged and welcome to purchase the standard, dress code for riders, but it is not necessary at this level.

MLM provides the ASTM Approved equestrian helmets (or riders may bring their own equestrian helmet), and all tack and equipment for the horse. MLM does not provide child care services.
